Ingredients

  • 150g Brown Beauty Oysters
  • 1.5 cups flour
  • 1.5 tsp paprika powder
  • 1.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 1.5 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Pepper
  • Oil for frying

Directions

  1. Combine flour and all spices in a bowl until well mixed.
  2. In a second bowl, combine 1/3 cup of flour mixture with 3/4 cups water and whisk until smooth.
  3. Dip mushroom pieces into wet batter then into the flour mixture.
  4. Re-dip mushrooms in wet batter and back into flour mixture.
  5. Heat oil in a pot then drop mushrooms in 1 at a time making sure not to over crowd the pan.
  6. Fry for a few minutes until golden on all sides.
  7. Remove from oil and place on paper towel to remove excess oil.
  8. Use fried mushrooms any place you would use fried chicken.
